A film by Lola Doillon, Fanny’s Journey is based on the true story of 13 year old Fanny Ben Ami who, in 1943, was sent from her home in France to an Italian foster home. When the Nazis arrive in Italy, the Jewish fosters suddenly find themselves alone, and use incredible reserves of strength and bravery to crusade towards Switzerland on their own. Compelling and provoking, Fanny’s Journey is screening at Pier 21 on Wednesday, November 8 at 7:00 p.m. as part of Holocaust Education Week.

Holocaust Education Week at Pier 21 is offered in partnership with the Atlantic Jewish Council.
