Capture your memories and preserve them for future generations.
Our Oral History Collection is used by researchers, writers, filmmakers, school children preparing heritage projects, and families searching for the answers to their past.
Recorded with the facilitation of an oral historian, the Oral History Collection is an important part of sharing the stories of Canadians.
We are dedicated to capturing the memories of all immigrants to Canada, veterans, and Pier 21 volunteers and staff.
How to ParticipateIf you are a Canadian immigrant or served in WWII, and are planning to visit Pier 21, please consider sharing your story with our Oral History Coordinator Cassidy Bankson, (Tel: 425-7770 ext 241).
If you would like to participate but are unable to visit the museum in Halifax, consider making a recording yourself; we would be happy to offer some tools and guidance.
