Your Story, Your Voice:
A Creation Workshop in Personal Storytelling

Ideal For: Adaptable for most age groups; recommended for 12+

Number of participants: 15 minimum, 30 maximum

“Is there any person in the world who does not dream? Who does not contain within them worlds unimagined?” - Neil Gaiman, The Sandman: World’s End

Human beings have always been storytellers: we identify ourselves to the world through the narratives we build. From campfire ghost tales to sprawling mythologies, storytelling is woven into every culture and tradition on earth. Our stories connect us to our origins, our dreams and our futures – and, like the people who tell them, no two are ever the same.

This storytelling workshop is designed to help participants unleash their creative potential and find their narrative voice. It focuses on performative storytelling, but no previous performance experience is necessary – the only prerequisite is a desire to tell your story to the world!

The module is available in short- and long form, and may include components of: lecture, group discussion, demo, interactive creative exercises, and hands-on creation. The long form version concludes with a group presentation of works-in-progress.

Minimum duration: 2hrs / Maximum duration: 6hrs (full day w/ 30min lunch break)
